Listening to: Iron & Wine The Creek Drank the Cradle
The week is half gone, and I'm not complaining. Homework is piling up (every instructor thinks I have no other classes but theirs!), but I do see a bit of daylight at the end of the tunnel. And I have still managed to get some knitting accomplished.
The basic socks (my pair!) are finished. After taking the time to match up the starting place, when I got to heel #2, there was a knot. No biggie, I thought, just pull it out til the next repeat. I couldn't find it, so just went on from the join. So the foot parts don't match... they'll be inside shoes. When I got them done, I realized that from the knot on, the stripe sequence was reversed. Ugh. Immediately cast on for another pair - Angel's Rest from Fibertrends, using Knitpicks Merino sock in the Stargazer Lily colorway.
Sunday, I started sewing up a smocked dress for Ron's niece (for Easter). It's just a simple calico with contrast piping, and a simple geometric smocking design.
Back to studying...
