Regardless of the title of the album, this is a very laid back, almost mellow collection that could easily lull me to sleep. Especially right now... long day, and the early darkness makes things even worse. The time change really does a number on my inner clock - there should be at least a little bit of daylight either when I wake up, or when I get home from work.
Today I finished my cardigan except for buttons. Tomorrow I'm off work, so button hunting is on the list of things To Do along with forty-'leven other things! So here she is, lounging on my bed:
Specs:
Pattern: Solis, The Mirasol Collection Book Three by Jane Ellison. Made size L which fits very nicely.
Yarn: Mirasol Hacho, Shade 312. Had to purchase 2 extra hanks - the pattern was way off in amounts, as it called for 11 hanks for L and XL. Even though all hanks were from the same dyelot, there was a very noticeable difference in the shading. I'm trying to ignore that issue... but I LOVE the colors! Shortened the sleeves by 1/2 inch, but could have shortened them by another inch.
Other finished projects include a hat for Ron, a hat for a Christmas gift (can't say who). The good husband likes his, plenty of room - he complains about tight hats - and very warm. I have no pics of it yet, as it's already gone home!
The menfolk are driving up here tomorrow after work and spending the night. Thursday we'll leave for Daughter's for Thanksgiving. She and her spouse have just moved into their new (to them) house, and we'll be helping with some final trim painting. I'm supposed to make a couple dozen dinner rolls to take along too. Seems like a fair trade! I plan to have a really great weekend with family...
