Listening to: Pink Martini Joy to the World

Yes, it's time for Christmas music, and I really enjoy Pink Martini's sound.  Go have a listen.

King of the Hill
Last weekend was uncommonly mild, with temps up around 70.  Short sleeve weather.
I just did not want to sit inside, and garden work didn't appeal much, so Daniel and I drove up to Elephant Rocks Park.  Perfect day...
Fat Man's Squeeze
After traipsing around there for a while, we headed west, following a very poor map, toward St. Genevieve. On the way we drove through Caledonia and stopped at a little BBQ place. DEEElicious! At St. Gen we did a wine tasting at Cave Winery and bought a couple of bottles for Christmas gifts.

I've finished the purple granny square scarf and a burgundy cabled DNA scarf. Also a hand-dyed dark red cowl.  Still behind on gifts, but next week I should be able to knock a few out - they are all machine sewn.

I'm heading to the farm after work. The hens are laying 10 - 14 eggs a day, and I was able to sell 3 dozen at knit group this week. I also gave away a dozen to a very sweet lady (she forced me to have a piece of homemade coconut meringue pie!!) This weekend it would be nice to get a tree up!
