Jumping on the bandwagon

*raising my beer*

Here's to beginnings... and the whys and wherefores.

I'm starting this mainly to keep track (hopefully) of the too-many projects that clutter my world, and to force myself to stay focused. Certainly, there will be more crap on here too.

Why Glumdalclich? I could just say "read Gulliver's Travels" but I'm not that ornery (well, I am, but that's another story). When Gulliver traveled to Brobdingnag, he discovered that the folks there were QUITE a bit taller than he was. His name while in that land was Grildrig, and he was sort of adopted by Glumdalclitch, a farmer's daughter. She took care of him, sewing his clothes, teaching him their language, providing protection, even making a little quilted box for him to travel/live in which she strapped to her waist. They had many adventures together, eventually going to live with at the Queen's palace - Grildrig provided entertainment in many forms (although he didn't care for the smelly maids of honor who were rather naughty with him!).

What do I do? Knit; sew clothing, quilts, toys; glass beadmaking; crochet; embroidery, etc etc etc... if it looks like something I want to try, I go for it. Unfortunately this means there are stacks and boxes and loads of supplies and notions for all of those different crafts. In a tiny little house. *sigh*
