Manic Monday

For the life of me, I can't understand why folks don't put on headlights when the fog is thick as pea soup!

Knitting stuff

Yesterday I worked on the Kerry Blue shawl from Waterman's shawl book. I'm up to a whopping row 72. Whoo. The yarn is an extremely fine (think "thread") merino in teal green. It won't be long before I need to move it to longer needles.

There's also a pair of socks in the works for the daughter; Walking Away Socks, Cascade version, using KnitPicks merino sock yarn in the Pansy colorway.

Both projects came along today, since this evening is the monthly knitting group. The son *gets* to come along since I have to pick him up after a gaming club meeting after school, and no time to get home. I warned him to bring a book or (gasp) homework.

Garden stuff

Years ago, my grampa and I came to an understanding that I could have his tiller (a Troybilt Horse, rear tine) eventually. As long as he was still able, he wanted to hang onto it; after he passed away my gramma wanted to keep it around so her garden could be worked as well. No biggie. She passed not long ago, and after some sticky family stuff, I now have it in my possession along with a row hiller and a blade attachment. R started it up yesterday, and it has a tendency to jump out of gear, so it'll need some TLC before we work it too hard.

Oh, and we bought lettuce and radish seeds too. Yay!

Ok, back to work...
