Short Week

Long weekend, incredible weather, lots of knitting accomplished... I have a whole sock and the beginnings of another to show for it. And the end of the 4th color on the Dawn shawl - absolutely THE END. I don't think I'll even get the entire last row finished without running short. I also picked up a knitted quickie afghan project that was started oh... 3 or 4 months ago, with the intention of giving it as a Christmas gift. Guess I'd better get moving, eh?

Ron repaired the porch swing, and most of the knitting was done outside. Saturday, Daniel and I went to Barnes and Noble and splurged on several books. They are getting ready to move to a larger store and have some very good bargains. So Daniel sat out with me on the swing, reading most of the day. He finished one book and started on another... both fiction. His next book - the one he is really itching to start - is about Genghis Khan (did I spell that right?).
