Listening to: Carencro Mark Broussard
The Dawn shawl is coming along nicely. I'm on the last color, working on the edging which is knit on as you go. I've also been working on the afghan, haphazardly; it's acrylic (shiver) and knit on size 17 needles, so it's like knitting with railroad ties.
But for the most part, homework has been taking up the bulk of my *free* time. The database class is frustrating so far - not because of the work, but the program we need to use in the class (it's a computer lab) was deleted from the machines, and even after it was reinstalled, it doesn't work. So the instructor, poor fella, is scrambling to change the schedule around so we're not just sitting and pickin' our noses. This has to be a hands-on class... you can't learn SQL by just looking at it in a book, you have to DO it.
The weather has been gorgeous the last couple of days. Saturday I planted 3 different lettuces for the fall garden - in hopes it actually does something. I also have a bunch of old hollyhock seed that I plan to sow around the house and if it grows, good deal... if not, oh well! I love hollyhocks, and remember playing with them when my sisters and I were kids. We'd make things from the seeds, using them for money if I remember correctly. I'll write more about that another time.
Back to the grind...

Yes, we used to use the seeds as "coins", Wilmie.
