Listening to: Is Love Enough The Nighthawks
~is love enough to keep you satisfied.... I gotta know...
Last night I worked on Mandy's wedding gown alterations. The shoulders have been shortened, and the outer skirt hem finished. After tonight's fitting, I'll do the lining and the net inner slip; then all that remains is whipping a few beads back on. The wedding is October 14, and the only thing left to do is making a veil and stitching it to a comb. No biggie.
Saturday night Daniel had a quasi-date (the girl picked him up in town and brought her little brother) at the district fair. Ron and I decided to stay in town, and after dinner we lounged at the local bookstore for about 2 hours - Ron reading, and I knitting on the Rosy Fingered Dawn shawl. When we got restless, we went to a coffee shop for a cookie and coffee, sat outside on their patio and watched the cars go by, talking while I continued knitting. Since it was the last night of the fair, most of the farmers were hauling their show animals home, so we saw lots of loaded trailers. It was nearly 11 when Daniel called and had us meet him and the gal at Andy's (mmmmm!). Knitting accomplished? Two full sides of edging, the next mitered corner... then Sunday I got another half side done. The end is in sight!!
Back to work - what a great day :)
