Last Lazy Days

Listening to: Day is Done by Peter, Paul, and Mary

This is the last weekend before school starts again, and it's a long one because of the Monday holiday. Yesterday I picked up textbooks for my 3 classes, so I'm ready to go. It'll be a short week since I'm taking Friday as a vacation day to take my youngest to Cleveland to a sci-fi movie marathon - this will be our 5th year attending, and we look forward to it eagerly!!

Since last entry, I finished up both the PinkiePeach socks AND the Stargazer socks. The Stargazers have been gifted to a brother's girlfriend. The others are mine! I've also started a pair for Ron in Regia Line Steps Color in a navy with subtle one line stripes every inch and a half or so. One sock is finished, the other is about 2/3 down the leg. They are simple ribbed with a basic turned heel. Another pair is started for me in Koigu KPPM. Can't recall the color number (shades of purples and a spark of red) - I've had it balled for a number of years and finally pulled it out. These are basic socks too, with just a short rib cuff and stockinette stitch for the rest of the leg.

The Flower Basket Shawl is completed too, except for blocking. Picture will come when I get to that stage. Unfortunately I didn't get a pic of the Stargazer socks, but they did turn out really well. Two afghans were completed for Christmas presents - one knit, one crochet - no pics of those either. And the same goes for the 6 cotton washcloths gifted with the handmade goat milk soaps.

I suppose I should drag myself out of bed!
