Best Laid Plans...

Listening to: Rain

The meetup at the bar was cancelled last Friday - not enough people planned to show, and the organizer didn't want the main guest to feel slighted (I'm guessing here...). This suited me fine - I was able to get on the road home sooner and avoid mucho traffic.

Weekend was good - Ron had a roast ready when I got home! Saturday I sat around and knitted... working on a baby afghan for Crystal, who is having twin girlies in May. I had started one, using Sisu from Sandnesgarne in ivory, and the King Charles Brocade stitch pattern. Ho hum, booooring, and so so slow. If I had more time and was only making one it would be fine, or if one was going to be a boy, sure... but it wasn't clicking. I wanted something dainty and lacy and sweet. So the whole first ball that had been knitted got pulled out and rewound, and I pulled out good ole Barbara Walker stitch books. Ended up with Fan Lace from the first book, doing 12 repeats across with 3 garter border on each side. I'm halfway through the second ball... it's just flying. Love it!

Last night I pestered brother Will to meet me for dinner - we were both hungry for steak, and lingered quite long at Chili's. Yum!

That's the news you can't use :)
