Made It To Tuesday...

Listening to: Tom Waits Alice

I've been enjoying Waits for several years. One of the things I like is that his style is so eclectic. Compare his Alice or Blue Valentine albums to Real Gone and Rain Dogs. Night and day, but all of them are great! Add that to his gruff voice, almost a growl on some songs... I keep collecting his music.

As you pull into the apartment complex where I live, straight ahead from the stop sign (I go left) is a cul de sac. Today there were at least 3 firetrucks, plus a pumper and maybe 2 or 3 other fire department vehicles. It makes me stop and think - even though I'm pretty OCD about turning off the oven/burners/iron and blowing out candles, the neighbor downstairs or next door might not be. I don't care to come home to fire trucks outside my apartment building!

This weekend I finished up all of the knitting for the yellow baby cardigan. The pieces need a good steaming before stitching together. I also worked on a pair of socks. No, not the Jaywalkers. They just weren't handy when I had the time. Call me Lazy. :) I also took some time outside to check out the new calves. And take pics!

We have a total of 7 so far. Cute little guys and gals!

Time to get dinner fixin. Tonight it's a baked chicken breast, greeniebeanies, and a baked potato. With green grapes for dessert. Yummy.
