Mercy me

Listening to: ringing in my ears

All I can say is WOW. I am blown away. The concert was incredible. Small venue, no bad seats. Ended up being Sis & her hubbie, Brother, a gal Sis works with, and a couple that Bro-in-Law works with. Oh my gosh... those pretty Finnish boys can PLAY. Four fine fellas (plus a drummer) working hot and heavy metal on cellos. Who'da thunk it? I've had a couple of their CDs for a few years, and was always smitten with the sound. Let me ramble on about how they rock out on Edvard Grieg's Hall of the Mountain King, then turn around and bang out a Metallica cover...

But now it's late. I'm knackered and the bed is calling my name. "Wilma... wilma... wilma.... "

*Added later*
So, what a gorgeous morning! Sun, 65ish... except for one thing. I have NO voice. The only shouting I can do is in CAPS! Combination of allergy/cold and screaming last night has done my voice in. But I made a cup of hot cranberry-blood orange tea and stood out on the deck, listening to the birds' morning twitter and enjoying the explosion of green that's going on. I was also doing a little mental planning for the deck, and may snag some wood and tools while I'm home this weekend. I think I can put a shelf along the top of the deck rail to put some plants. I also need some outdoor chairs, but I'm not keen on regular lawn chairs. World Market has some nice wooden folding chairs for outdoors, and corn fiber round rugs that would look cool. I'd also like to build something to hold the firewood. We'll see how that goes.

Work is calling now, though I'm not so inclined to answer like I did the bed last night. (That bed, he's a temptor!)
