This, that and the other

Listening to: Come on, Come on Mary Chapin Carpenter

Lots of doin's lately. The big news is that one of my younger brothers got married to a lovely, spunky pistol of a young lady. They compliment each other so well. My sis made the cake with much weeping and gnashing of teeth, but it turned out beautifully... and SO GOOD! She's so incredigly talented!! The wedding party all wore black with hot pink accents. Will's shirt turned out quite nicely too. Ceremony lasted 5 minutes or less (do you? I do! do you? I do! kiss her, Will). Ok, maybe not that quick, but dang near close to it.

Ron and Daniel came up for the weekend, arriving late Friday night. Sunday we took the Metrolink downtown and went up in the Arch, had a late lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory, then came back to my place. Ron and I watched a movie... The Punisher. It was ok... then they left for home about 7.

Last Thursday I also finished a black shawl and blocked it. As I was stretching, I found a couple of mistakes and a dropped stitch, but unless it's spread out on a light colored background, nobody will ever see them. However, they stick out like sore thumbs in the pics. *sigh* It's very light and airy, almost like a puff of wind, but amazingly warm...

Next project is a cardigan for myself in Mirasol yarn. I've already started the back, and love the way the fiber feels! I hope it goes fast, since I have a ton of other projects on the burner too.

Tomorrow after work I head home! Yippee!!!
