Listening to: Not a thing except the bird wailing on her bell...
Had a really nice Christmas holiday for the most part, and there is more to come. Mom always has the family celebration in January so it's more relaxed, and that's coming up on the 11th.
Since last posting, I've been a knitting fiend, churning out sockcaps and scarves like nobody's bizness. Sadly, I did not take pics of most of the hats, but I did scarf pics...
Noro Kureyon in a green mix (can't remember the number). Pattern is a freebie from Angel Yarns (can't put my finger on the direct link to pattern). I love the way the colors change.
I also did another black scarf using the leftover mohair, plus one using remnants of a dark forest green Jagerspun from a shawl. And a Badonkadonk Bobbles scarf. In all, counting a couple scarves that just needed blocking, I've finished 8 this season.
We made our yearly trek to central Illinois, staying a couple nights in Litchfield. We had dinner Christmas night at my Uncle Ed's (Dad's side) in Witt, and the next day drove to Decatur for lunch and celebration with my mother's side. It was great to see family! My mom and aunts made family history/ cookbooks for us with recipes that were contributed by just about every family member. There are tons of pictures included, even some that make me cringe! :)
I will leave you with a pic of a very obnoxious bird who seems to think she can wail on my earring the same as her bell...
