Listening to: Manuel Barrueco 300 Years of Guitar Masterpieces
What a gorgeous day! The temps warmed up to the upper 50s/low 60s, and the sun was just glorious. I stepped out onto my deck several times during breaks from work to soak up a little vitamin D and breathe very deeply. After signing off work, I took a beer and knitting out to the deck and worked until it was tough to see the stitches. I finished the back of a pullover raglan sweater and cast on for the front. It's in Cascade Eco + wool in a deep burgundy shade. Lemme tellya, it's boring boring slow, all stockinette stitch. At least I can look elsewhere while my fingers fly.
Tonight is knitting group. Last week I missed, having grabbed dinner out, then picked up a few things and decided that since there was frozen precip coming down, I really didn't want to drive over to the shop, then stop again to pick up cold groceries (I was desperate for milk!), so I did it all in one fell swoop.
Last night I had a couple of friends over for dinner. Fixed a big ham that just fell apart it was so tender, sweet potatoes (NOT mashed, no marshmallows ewwww), fresh green beans, a salad, and for dessert a simple yellow cake with fresh strawberries and Trader Joe's frozen wild blueberries. Excellent company, good food. Can't beat that with a stick.
Tomorrow is aiming to be warm again, but showers starting later tonight and continuing. Guess I shouldn't complain too much - it's not snow at least!
