Raindrops Keep Fallin on My Head...

Just when I didn't think anything else could go wrong. On the drive up Monday morning, about 45 minutes from home, my headlights started to get dim. Then the radio went out along with all of the radio lights. Then the dash lights flickered and went very dim. Hmm. Then... no acceleration. I pulled to the side of the interstate, the engine coughed, sputtered, then died. Turn the key. *click* Waited a bit, tried again... nothing. So I called Daniel, and he drove up to get me, then brought me on along to the apartment where I fed him breakfast and let him sleep a couple hours. Got in touch with a towing service and the mechanic, Daniel drove back down to hand the key off to the towing guy and now the car is fixed (alternator replaced). But it's down at Jackson. I am trapped in the apartment. AGGGHHHHH (that's cabin fever starting). Ok, not so much, just thought I'd throw in some drama. The boy is driving my car back up here on Thursday, staying the night, then we fly out to Cleveland Friday morning. I'll take him home Sunday after we return, so things worked out ok.

I finished up the second of two pairs of mittens for the twins. One pair is green with pink cuffs and thumbs, the other is just opposite. They match the hats I knitted them for Christmas. I am also coming along nicely on a cable yoked pullover for them in Reynolds Hopscotch... watermelon pink, apple green, and a brightish orange. It's worked in the round up to the underarms, then the sleeves are knitted separately and joined together to do the yoke. Nice and loud and girlie.

Time to snuggle into bed for some knitting before sleep.
