The old KIA Sportage was having issues. Not surprising, since it has been run hard for 10 years and has nearly 200,000 miles on it. It's being fixed, even though it needs to be gone. We bought a car on Saturday, and Daniel will drive the kia to work since it's less expensive to run than his truck. My "new" car is an '08 Hyundai Tiburon, light silver gray, 5-speed. Very low miles, and fairly decent fuel mileage.
Mercy, it's been hot around these parts! I'm glad I don't work out in it, but the husband does, and it's taking its toll. He is exhausted, hot, irritated. This is when being away from home during the week is a good thing.
Yesterday I baked a pan of brownies for knit group tonight. Haven't decided which project to take along. This week I have been working from the apartment, and during lunch and breaks I sew together the squares for the Barn Raising afghan. Five of seven strips are complete (though not sewn to each other), and it's very fun to look at all laid out.
I've also been spinning on Sverre. There are three lovely hanks finished and I'm very pleased. I would like to get a cream colored fleece, or maybe a moorit (sort of light brown).
This is all for now. Time to get back to work!
