Listening to: Lucinda Williams Essence
There's also a background of leaf blower from outside. Why? Because Saturday this area was hit with baseball sized hail. Luckily, I was not here over the weekend, but I heard about it on the news. Shredded leaves were everywhere for the few blocks before the apartment complex. When I pulled in, I noticed probably 75% of the cars were covered with plastic sheeting. Windshields were broken out, hoods and tops pitted with huge dents. The Target parking lot has several piles of glass scattered about.
I've been working on a couple of picnic/play quilts as birthday gifts for the twins. All that's lacking is the binding and maybe look for some baskets to line and little dishes. If I can't find any, that's ok. I've also made headway on a pair of socks - turned the heel on #2 and have worked down past the decreases. They're rather pretty, my go-to pattern Angel's Rest, and I'd like to have them completed this week. On the weekend I finished the Lingonberry Shawl except for washing and blocking. Pics when that's done.
All for now :)
