Almost Friday!

The last week has been nicely busy. Weather is amazing (windows open in August???). Yesterday I sewed buttonholes/buttons on a blouse for myself. The fabric has been sitting around with the pattern in a stack on my workbench, and it was time to move it off. I was tired of shifting it when I wanted to work! It's a light blue cotton with very small white flowers, the pattern is an old Vogue with yokes and flat-felled seams, more of a tunic length. Now it's all pressed and hanging. And one more thing off the workbench.

In January, I challenged myself to finishing 3 items from stash before I could purchase yarn/fabric for anything else. I've stuck to it pretty closely, but wish I had kept better track. I do know that I'm ahead in the stash projects. Sadly, I added to the pile Sunday during the yarn crawl, but feel like I did well limiting myself to just one or two items from each shop. There are only 4 yarn shops remaining in the St. Louis area.

Today I should be finished with the Marigram cowl - only the bind-off is left, then blocking.

I also finished the second of two sundresses for the grand-girls, but I think they may be too long. Since the skirt part is tiered and ruffled I can put tucks above each ruffle that can be let out when the girls grow.

The cabled afghan is coming along nicely too. It went along to knit group last night, and I finished one repeat there, another once I got home while watching Hinterland on Netflix (probably the 4th time I have watched this series). I am shooting for 20 repeats of the pattern, and have 7 completed.
