Dailies

Another Day, Another Project

Here are the two potholders from yesterday. Nice and bright, but if I squint while looking at them, it's almost Christmas.

And... the squares from the 'found' yarn. I'm thinking 6 x 8 with a border of white, then yellow. There was also one ball of pink in the bag that should be enough for a tiny hat and maybe a pair of newborn booties.

I also came across a lonely quilt block in fuchsia and white. There were SO many pieces and seams in it that I was almost disgusted working on it and determined not to do any more. So it's been paired with a border of black, a fuchsia ruffle, and turned into a pillow for the gift box. Finished with a 14" form, which makes it squishy and not too springy.

Another lovely day

It was 64 when I first got up, low humidity, and the sun so bright. I spent some early time on the deck, making string trellises for the morning glory, cypress vines, and moon flower. Some of them are getting tall enough to start grasping. The nasturtiums are growing nicely, and the bright red geranium that was nursed through the winter is blooming profusely. I snipped off a leggy bit and poked it into the pot, and it is sprouting out new leaves.
