Finished project!

Spent the weekend at home, but did very little knitting. However, yesterday evening I was able to complete these socks! Pattern is Fiber Trends Peak Experience, one of my favorite go-to designs. The yarn is Pagewood Farms, can't recall the color or yarn name and too lazy to dig the label out right now. These have been steamed and are ready for the gift drawer/box, the recipient already in mind. One less Christmas present now!

Enjoyed quite a few goodies from the garden. Tomatoes and peppers came back to the apartment, as well as 3 ears of sweet corn from the second planting. I will probably miss the rest of it, but had a couple ears for lunch and oh goodness, it was delicious! I've also chopped up some Roma tomatoes, chiffonade basil leaves, fine-diced garlic, grated parmesan, and a drizzle of olive oil to top slices of Italian bread. There are enough Romas for fresh pico de gallo - need to pick up some cilantro. Maybe tomorrow's treat.

This lovely guy was in my knitting bag this morning. He must have dropped in last evening while I was knitting out on the deck. The little squiggly lines are really interesting, and the edge of his wings almost look like fringe. So much delicate detail. Appears to be a Linden-leafroller moth pantographa limata. It is also referenced as a basswood leafroller moth. I'll be back out there this evening since the weather is so mild. There must be a tree frog again - there's been a visiting frog for the last few years. Evidence is the little poops left on the railing!

Temps have really come down since the weekend (heat index Sunday well over 100). No progress to note on the house, but Ron and Daniel did get the new washer installed. It was just too miserable to do anything else outside.
