Unpredictable

 Weird weather

Ok, so it’s summer in Missouri, and you never know what the next day will bring. The last few have been mild with morning temps in the 60s. Sure do love sleeping with the windows open, and the electric bill is better too. It was cool enough that I made a pan of cornbread. Guess what’s for lunch? With strawberry rhubarb jam.

Project updates

Finished a cotton Clapotis in a lace weight color wheel yarn from Hobby Lobby. Love the way it feels and drapes, and will post a photo once it is blocked.

Last week I cut a piece of heavy leather for a bag bottom, dyed it red, conditioned it, and this morning I punched holes around the edge and started crocheting around it with black cotton yarn. I’ll eventually do a section of red, then back to black. I haven’t decided about the handle but may cut a strip of leather and rivet it at the top. I have time to think about it. It may also get lined so I can incorporate a pocket.

There’s some lovely aqua socks on the needles, first one about half down the foot already.

That’s all for now. Lunch is over so it’s back to work!
