It’s been a while, eh? That’s not to say I haven’t been busy!
House
Thanks to Anna and her boyfriend Dwayne, quite a bit of drywall has been installed. There is a leak at the front corner of the house, possibly around the chimney, that needs to be fixed before we can insulate and drywall there.
I purchased the tile for the kitchen floor, entry and hearth. Dad is selling me enough oak for the living room floor, and has a thick piece of walnut or some other wood for the mantle. Tub and fixtures for downstairs bathroom are bought. The front door and French door for the dining room have been delivered. It is actually starting to feel and sound like a house.
Handwork Projects
Too many completed to list, and honestly I can’t remember all of them since the first of the year. But I have started to track them using a project management technique from training at work - a Kan Ban board. I use sticky notes on the hallway wall, a section for ‘in my head’, for ‘in progress’ and then completed.
Recent Finishes:
Two baby blankets for charity through Knitters Guild
Two Scrappy Trip Around the World quilt tops
Pipit (Ravelry) sweater in Arucania wool
In the Works:
Simple Chevron Scarf
Barn Raising afghan #3 in scrap sock yarn
Wings for Nightbird shawl in Kauni stash yarn
There’s actually a few other things in progress, but it’s late, I am tired, and this is a good start back. Now to just keep it flowing…
