Lazy Saturday morning - had coffee in bed while I looked through smocking magazines and patterns for something to make for Ron's niece Lauren. For Easter. Ya, I know... the date is coming up pretty quickly! Been pilfering through boxes and bags in the sewing room, and I think I found a good bit of calico that will work great for the dress.
Thursday I worked til 9 covering for a student worker who was heading home for spring break a couple of days early. She'd asked quite some time ago, and I OK'd it so she made plans to collect someone from the airport in St. Louis that evening. As luck would have it, nobody else was able to take over her hours so I ended up doing it. Not that it was a problem - I had plenty of homework... a powerpoint presentation that was due for a web class by midnight. It just made for a very long day and I was pretty whooped.
So yesterday I took off half a day to make up the hours. My brother Will met me for lunch at Logan's Roadhouse, and we had an excellent visit. I don't get to see him much since he lives in St. Louis. Then I headed home, did some cleaning and knitting, and made a pot of chicken and noodles for dinner. Mmm. Had a couple bottles of Bully Porter from Boulevard Brewery and fell asleep mid-Leno.
And ohohoh! The very best part of yesterday... airfares to Orlando have dropped quite a bit, and I've been watching them closely. Roundtrip at the end of May for $162! One of my very bestest friends, Donna has been wanting me to visit, so I confirmed dates with her and the tickets are purchased! Yay! It's been a couple of years since I've seen her, and good golly, I miss her. I'm sooooo excited now, it's going to be tough focusing on classes. :)
Time to dive back in to cleaning.... ick.
