Listening to: The Collection Al Di Meola
This last weekend, Daniel and I made our yearly escape to Cleveland (yes, don't laugh) for the sci-fi movie marathon - this makes year #5. We had a really great time seeing friends again and watching movies. Audience participation is extremely important at these things, because sometimes the movies just don't cut it. No one movie stood out for me this year as being really good. Most of them were mediocre at best, with a couple stinkers. And I'm being nice. I took along the red shawl to work on, and got quite a ways on it, especially on the flights... and especially on the return flight Sunday. OH, we thought we were being so smart taking an earlier flight on standby, but halfway to St. Louis the flight was diverted back to Cleveland for instrument problems. We still managed to arrive in St. Louis about an hour sooner than originally planned, and at least I did have something productive to do.
It was probably the last time I'll have for intensive knitting for quite a while. The classes are going to be real boogers. I can see already there will be LOTS of time spent in the lab doing homework, and the reading... good grief...
