Nothing New

Works in Progress...

Britt, the Lopi pullover is to the third colorwork section of the yoke. For the main body, I'm using a heathery denim blue, with red and gray for the accents. This has been a relatively easy knit, the only challenge has been getting the yoke decreases even. Some rounds divide perfectly, others require fiddling with the numbers a little. Nothing major - gives me a chance to use my excellent math skills. cough!

White cotton shawl. This is for my youngest sister. No official pattern, just an 8/2 soft shiny cotton using Feather and Fan with a seed stitch border. Pretty mindless, but it'll be pretty. The plan is to add beads to the fringe.
Angel's Rest socks. First one done, second one about 2 inches into the leg. Another mindless knit, I've made several pair from this pattern. They are lacy but not too, and they stay up well even with no ribbing. I'm using a blue variegated Opal for these.

Lest ye think I only knit... a friend of mine has agreed to help me learn Java. I've had a class quite some time ago, but mostly forgotten. So last evening I took a couple steaks, some quartered onions in foil, and a sweet/hot salsa with chips down to his place. We grilled, ate on the deck (weather was fantastic!), and I now have lovely drawings and notes with an assignment !!! for the next time. I'm not stupid, could read the book and figure it out, but hearing it and having some general guidance from an experienced coder really helps.

I head home tonight for the weekend, and I am more than ready...
