Whee!

Lotsa good things this last week and over the weekend, even if the weather was a bit wet.

The Lopi sweater is finished! It's BIG, and very very warm. The plan was to wear it over other things instead of a coat or jacket, and it'll definitely fill the bill. The Boring Boring Burgundy sweater is completely finished now too - the blocked parts have been sitting on the spare bed giving me evil looks for the past couple of months. It's big as well, having been started before most of the weight loss. I tried it with a wide leather belt and think it'll be good with a long skirt.

I sewed another dress for Rebecca - this one in a tribal/island print. I had time to make a pair of earrings to match before delivering it, and have some extra beads to do a necklace or bracelet.

Friday night Ron and I went down to Buckners to see my brother Joe in his other band, The Biggest Car in the County. They played 11 - 1, so we didn't stay the entire time, but they sounded really good. Didn't hurt to have excellent beer and meal, and my other brother Will was down to see them too (so good company too!)

A sock was finished (Hobby Lobby's Walk Away sock yarn in purple/tan), just a simple basketweave pattern. Second one is on the needles. I'm not keen on the color, but they are for a gift so I don't have to like it...

Also in progress is the Gail Shawl in Geranio Malabrigo Lace. It's turning out quite nicely, but the directions are a bit hinky. I love the peacock feather design though.
