Just because there have been no postings does not mean there's been no DOING! The last month has seen several projects completed.

Finished!

Pattern: Ishbel from Whimsical Little Knits by Ysolda Teague
Yarn: Cascade Heritage Paints Sock Yarn
This is the second Ishbel for me (there will be more!). It went so quickly, just a weekend for the smaller size.

Pattern: Gail/Nightsong
Yarn: Malabrigo Lace, color Geranio
After putzing around with the pattern to get it to work, I discovered via Ravelry that I'm not the only one having issues with it. Too late... I figured it out. The yarn was wonderful to work with, and is so incredibly soft.

Thanksgiving Plans
We'll be heading for Springfield again this year so the Daughter can display her wonderful cooking talents for the holiday. I will probably be in charge of dinner rolls and maybe a pie or two. I'm looking forward to seeing Anna and Jacob again. I also get about 10 hours knitting time in while Ron drives.

In the Works
Quilts:
1> Railfence in bright pink, a grey background floral (bright pink/orange/red daisies) and white with green and black accents. This will be for one of the twins.
2> ok, Quilt #2 has only been conceived, no fabric or pattern chosen. For the other twin.
3> Been quilting every Sunday at Mom's on Anna's quilt. Uh... that would be the wedding quilt, only 2 years overdue. But it's getting there. Dad has decreed on many occasions that the quilt frame will be out of the living room before Christmas. We'll make it - on the final row of blocks, then a bit of border work.
Knitting:
1> Blue cabled afghan for Daniel
2> Socks for Ron
3> Socks ... a request from Daniel for his friend Nia (sp?) at work. She went silly over a pair I'd knitted for him. Glad to know he shows them off. :)
4> Shawl in handdyed yarns. This is a gift. Yarn was purchased from Weavers' Guild sale and is a hank of 12 different yarns, all dyed in the same colorway.

That's the short list. There are odd things here and there, including a skirt for myself that is already cut out, the grey diamond shawl, the swirl shawl, etc etc...

Tonight is leftover veggie beef soup, knitting, and watching a show or two online. Maybe even a glass of wine :)

I was wondering when you were going to do quilts! Is it something new for you?
