Ketchup

Listening to: Gerry Rafferty Baker Street Right Down the Line

Or "catchup".

It's been busy around the farm and at work. There's some excellent news too: Daughter and her hub are expecting at the end of August. My brother and his wife are expecting in August too. And my nephew and his SO are expecting the end of June! It's been 17 years since we've had babies in the family, and we get three this summer!  Woohoo! I see lots of knitting and quilting in my future. :)

Yesterday was the holiday gathering at my mother's. For several years she has held it at the end of January, and it works out so well. We're all much more relaxed and we've had extra time to finish up projects or hit good after Christmas sales.

I'm starting to take on more responsibility at work, getting into the On-Call rotation. It means longer or irregular hours during my week, but it's enjoyable, and I'm learning quite a lot. There's plenty of support from other team members as well.

Just before Christmas I went for an eye exam and now have prescription glasses. Apparently I have a really bad astigmatism. I love being able to read again without contorting my face! And the glasses are adorable - a little bit cateye with amber rhinestones set in tortoise shell.

I'll update with pictures later :)
