Anna's quilt!

Finished Anna's Christmas gift yesterday and had a helper hold it up for pics. This started out back in June or July, with only the center star. It was going to be a quickie baby quilt, but I hung it up on the wall and looked at it for a week or two. After going to Anna's house and seeing that she had painted a wall in the new bedroom that lovely turquoise, I knew this quilt belonged to her. I set about adding borders and resizing blocks to fit. I did not get a pic of the back - it is pieced with a section of purple stars. Mom took it to a local machine quilter who did a great job, and I had her leave the large white squares plain so I could do hand quilting with purple pearl cotton. I gave it to Anna, then immediately took it back so I could finish. With them moving this month, I had a deadline. So it's done!

I think I need some hot wings to finish off the day.
