Sooo... I have been working on the royal blue cardigan. The pattern is Krydda from an older Knitty. The yarn was pulled from a box over Christmas holiday - I think I've had it for at least 20 years, if not more. It is Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece. I think it is going to be a really nice cardie, but the cotton sucks all of the moisture out of my hands.

Also working on a pair of socks in Zauberball Starke 6, colorway Forest/White/Brown/Olive. The colors are blending really nicely. They will be added to the gift drawer.

 Just Work

It has been strongly suggested that workers go into the office at least a few days a week, even if they are classified as full-time work-from-home. I'm going to shoot for 3 days a week, but parking is soooo expensive if you aren't in the company garage. I applied for a pass, but it will be several days. Five days and you've already spent the same as the monthly garage fee. Yikes! There is also an issue of reserving a desk space and hoping nobody takes it, but yesterday I was there at 7:10 and most folks didn't start showing up til 9 or 9:30. Maybe they were waiting til traffic thinned? I left home at 6:30 and had no trouble at all. Maybe when the sun starts hitting the horizon, it'll slow people down.

Around the Apartment

Yesterday afternoon I made a pot of chili. It could be hotter, so I'll keep added heat until it suits. Today I warmed some up and dolloped it on corn chips with shredded cheddar, then popped it in a hot oven for a few minutes.

After work today I started working on rearranging the bedroom. I have a bunch of stuff for the dumpster, and several stacks of old knitting/sewing/cooking magazines to give away. Maybe I can pass them off at knit group, or have someone from there help me get them to Knitters Guild. I am not in guild, but understand some give-aways are acceptable or even encouraged. All of this is in prep for getting a different desk. The one I am currently using used to be Dad's when he was in high school. It's very small and has a slanted top, barely big enough for the laptop and a small notepad. 

Now I'm zapped... going to have a half glass of wine, knit for a few minutes while watching Netflix, then head to bed.
