Waiting for White Stuff

Listening to: St. Paul and the Broken Bones I've Been Loving You

Forecast for the weekend is SNOW. 4 - 8 inches. Not really looking forward to this, but we're due for winter weather. Unfortunately, my daughter and family are moving to Colorado Springs on Saturday.

I went into the office 3 days this week, finally got parking garage access. Without it I was parking in an open lot off the street for $10/day with no security. The garage is $50/month and taken out of my paycheck. Plus, it's connected to my work building, so no hauling stuff through rain or snow. I think I'm going to like this. There's something to be said for planning ahead what I'm going to wear, pack lunch the night before, get things all lined up to be out the door at 6:30. I seem to get more accomplished during the day - probably don't but I can be easily deluded. It also gives me the opportunity to meet up with other folks from my team; this is the first time in ages that I've had local team members.

Projects

Been working on the socks since they are for a gift. Mom's 'Christmas' is January 20, so there's definitely a deadline. I still have a couple other things to finish up, but in all I'm pretty well set. For once. Maybe I won't be weaving in ends at the last minute.

I'm off to watch a little Netflix and knit!
