Highs and Lows
The weather has been crazy lately, but this IS Missouri. We always hear that if you don’t like the weather just wait a week. Last Thursday? we woke to a couple inches of snow. Excellent knitting weather. And quilting! Two more blocks done on Grandma’s quilt. Hand quilting is slow going but I am getting better at it. Each time I sit down, I challenge myself to do X amount, and always go past that point.
My youngest sister’s husband was admitted to ICU with COVID and is really bad. He only has one lung functioning anyway so this is even more dangerous for him. I have not talked with my sis yet, afraid she will be sleeping finally - Mom says she is not doing that for fear something will happen.
This weekend is the holiday gathering at Mom’s. I know Will and family won’t be there - his wife is super careful about socializing since she works in a hospital.
There is a batch of sourdough discard pizza dough rising. After work I’ll make a quick trip to get toppings. Usually the recipe makes 4, so it stores well in the fridge. Over the weekend I tried a recipe for discard crackers and plan to do some tweaking on the flavors.

Stopped by Barnes & Noble on Monday and picked this up! Yummy! Sat in bed last night drooling - the pics are beautiful and so many facts and history. I’ll be sharing with Anna but only after I get through it. Selfish, I know!
