Today I have been married to Ronnie for 42 years! We were babies. We don’t normally celebrate much, maybe dinner out. But that will be this weekend. He texted me early this morning so at least he remembered.
Ok, got that out of the way.
Current Projects
Socks, always socks. I’ve been getting to bed earlier, watching a show on Britbox or Acorn while I knit. Socks are pretty mindless, and it’s good to see progress each night. In the works - men’s socks in Regina blue, cream, green. One done, starting the foot on #2.
This is my usual slip stitch every other round. Not so stretchy as rib, but clingier than stockinette. 72 stitches…brainless roundy-roundy.
Started a shawl in hand dyed lace weight purchased 2 years ago in Bloomington on the way to Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival. Using a free pattern Julie by Yilla. Right now it looks like a wrinkled up rag, but stretched out the design is lovely. Just don’t have enough hands to take a photo and hold the knitting open!
I started clearing up the craft room and found some leftover cottons from another quilt project. Since I had nothing else to do, another quilt has been started! Using pieces of white quilt backing cutoffs and navy, mustard, burgundy, dark green, maybe brown or black prints for 12 inch Jacob’s Ladder blocks. Eleven blocks so far.
That’s all the damage I want to do today!
