Which means it’s stinking’ cold. Sure, there have been some beautiful days. Daffodils are just about bloomed out - the fat doubles are still looking good though. Maple trees are starting to drop green helicopter seeds and leaf out a little.
Ron’s uncle Glen has been coming down some Saturdays to help with the house, starting with plumbing and then maybe a little electrical work. We really enjoy having him, and I try to have a nice lunch spread the the guys.
Last Saturday we picked up the two steers. We delivered a quarter to Mom and Dad, a quarter to Will, Anna picked up her half, we have Patty’s quarter in one of the freezers and the rest is ours. Still have to divvy up the sweetbreads, but they were all put in one bag.
Current Projects
I’ve been working on a Lifesaver cardigan, and just have the rest of the button band to knit. Buttons are on order - turquoise shell, hopefully they will fit the holes. Nothing like getting the cart before the horse. Yarn is fingering weight Cloudborn Merino in a charcoal. Stripes are in five tonal pale blue through deep teal with some turquoise shades. Had to drop down a needle size to get gauge and it s still a bit big. But I like the hand, so made a smaller size.
Completed another Wisconsin project - the 3-Color Cashmere cowl by Joji Locatelli in greys and a band of bright neonish green. It was a quick knit, cast on April 6, bind off and woven ends today.
